This Sanctuary is Spread over 136 Sq. km. Chennur is the nearest village and is located at a distance of 35 km from Mancherial. The Wildlife available here are Tiger, Panther, Neelgai, Birds and Crocodiles. The Pranahita River, one of the tributaries of mighty Godavari, abuts this Sanctuary on its east makes it very beautiful spot. The sanctuary is a treasure of fossils. It is the home for the endangered Bla. Here one can see the Indian Porcupine along with the other animals like Nilgai, Sloth Boar, Tiger, Leopard, Forest Cat, Cheetal, Black Buck, Nilgai, Chinkara, Langur, Rhesus, Palm Civet, Indian Otter, Wild Dogs, Hyena & variety of birds including Brahminy Ducks, Teals, Strokes & Herons and Reptiles. Here one can see forests along river Pranahita with Teak, Bamboo, Terminalias, Anogeisus etc.
